International departures from Terminal 1
0. Before you arrive
Before arriving, you should check our tips on clearing security and pack your bags accordingly.
Arrive at least 3 hours before departure to ensure that you have enough time to clear departure processing.
1. Check In/Bag Drop
Once you arrive at the airport, follow the airport signage and head to Terminal 1. You'll know you're in the right place when you see a sign that states "International Departures"
Check your itinerary for the correct check-in counter, and present your boarding documents to the clerk. Present any checked luggage to the clerk, who will send it to be loaded onto the aircraft. You will receive a boarding pass.
Once check in procedures are complete, follow the signs towards "International Departures". Now's the time to farewell your loved ones, as they won't be able to come with you past this point.
2. Immigration
Have your passport ready to present to an ePassport gate. Follow the signs to "ePassport" and follow the instructions on the screen. A picture will be taken of you, and the gate will open.
If your passport is not a biometric passport, you will need to be manually processed by an immigration officer. Follow the signs to "Families and Classical Passports" and follow the immigration officer's instructions.
After immigration procedures are complete, you have officially left TAY.
3. Security
Proceed to the security gates, and present all your personal items for security screening.
All your personal items and carry-on luggage need to be passed through the X-ray. Walk through the metal detector when the security officer calls you forward.
Once you pass through the metal detector, you can collect your personal items and proceed.
4. Proceed to the gate
Locate the gate that your flight is boarding from. 45 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart, make your way to the gate. In the meantime, you may enjoy the facilities that Van Gogh Airport offers.
If you need assistance with locating your gate, you can ask a member of staff for assistance.
You should pay attention to airport announcements, as gate numbers are subject to change at any time.
5. Board the aircraft
Once boarding starts, listen to and follow instructions given by the gate agents, who will assist passengers in boarding the aircraft. Have your boarding pass ready to present to the gate agent.
This is the final step. Midcity Van Gogh Airport wishes you a pleasant flight and hopes to see you soon!
